About Linda Rose Herman
Linda has worked as a Pre-Planning Advisor since 1983 and offers individuals and families the opportunity to purchase cemetery property, memorial items, and funeral plans for traditional and cremation options. She also offers a world-wide travel protection program that handles all necessary details and costs to bring a person home if they die while they are traveling. As long as someone lives in the United States they can obtain this valuable coverage from Linda.

She has worked for Hawaiian Memorial Park and Borthwick Mortuary since August of 2000. Her passion is to assist families who face challenging decisions with sensitivity, compassion, and grace. She helps families save a great deal of money, time, and emotional stress for their loved ones. She gives families the luxury of grieving and the opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one.
Linda is a member of the American Business Women’s Association, (ABWA), American Association of University Women (AAUW), American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the Filipino American Multi-Ethnic Society (FAMES). She is a lifetime member of Hadassah. Linda has been active in her community in many capacities. She is a past member of Rotary International and served as a board member for her condo association. She has done fundraising for various organizations, including the Arthritis Foundation, the American Diabetes Association and the AIDS Foundation of Maui. She is also a past member of the Honolulu Academy of Arts and The Hawaii Women’s Business Center.
Linda was honored to have been selected as a recipient of the Small Business Association’s Woman of the Year Award for assisting women in growing and developing their businesses. She has received numerous awards and honors in her profession for a high level of service to the families she assists with advance planning.
She is a long-time resident of Hawaii. She lived on Maui from 1980 to 2002; and moved to Oahu the end of 2002.
Linda was a social worker from 1977 – 1980, working for an organization called the Senior Care Action Network. Her responsibility was to help prevent premature or unnecessary institutionalization of elders by providing them with needed services and counseling.
She graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1977. Linda specialized in gerontology and grief counseling, mentoring with Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, a pioneer in the field of death, dying, and dealing with loss and grief.
One of Linda’s passions is acting. She was a featured principal actor in the final season of the TV series “Lost” in which she played a hospice worker. Most recently she had a small speaking role as a grief counselor in the movie “The Descendants”.
